We stand in solidarity with The Industrial Union in Finland

The Electrician and IT workers union in Norway support The Industrial Unions general strike in Finland.

The Finish government is preparing a dismissal bill, which weakens the protection against dismissal in companies with less than 10 employees. The legislative reform places workers and small workplaces in an unequal position. There is no guarantee that the weakened protection against dismissal would not spread to larger companies, too.

The Industrial Unions are now in a strike that will last for three days. We support that they will not accept a weakening of the protection against dismissal for anyone. We urge the government to drop the bill immediately, as it would only cause arbitrary layoffs in workplaces.
